It seems that business process outsourcing (BPO) companies are not the only ones looking for spaces to set up their offices. Business World reported that non-business process outsourcing companies are also contributing to the rise of office space demand in different central districts in the country.

According to a study by real estate services firm Leechiu Property Consultants, the non-BPO companies belong to consumer and manufacturing industries. These firms were able to take over 183,056 square meters (sq.m.) of new office spaces so far this year. Meanwhile, BPO and related companies are still the leaders, taking up 40% or 357,999 sq.m. of the total new office space.

“That kind of demand clearly demonstrates how our economy is growing,” Kei Tiu Laurel-de Jesus, Frabelle Properties Corp. (FPC) managing director, was quoted as saying in a statement via Business World.

This is clear on FPC’s new building located at Salcedo Village, Makati City, which has a typical floor plate of 835 sq.m Called Frabelle Corporate Plaza, the 16-storey building with is already turning heads. Among those interested are local chefs, homegrown enterprises and brands, eyeing for the street-level retail area.

“Due for completion in September, Frabelle Corporate Plaza is attracting inquiries from firms currently benefiting from the Philippines’ sustained growth and seeking the conveniences of doing business from Makati, the country’s prime business district,” the company said via Business World.
